Need a drip system, help!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
got one of these at lowes for $10 (which i returned after haha). hooked it up to my washer hookup which was where i tapped the water line. i had about 65psi out of there. it worked fine with the cheaper emitters, but when i got these blue ones it kept blowing off the cap

so i installed the regulator and its been fine ever since :)

perfect, thanks for your help!

J, did you run your through your attic?

Would you trust a saddle valve in the attic, plumbed into the line before my hot water heater? is is only a few feet away from where the tank is sitting, would be the closest spot to get water.

no my tank is in the garage. i used the washer hookup in the laundry room which is only a few feet away on the inside of the house.

im sure the saddle valve will be fine. havent use them, but i dont think they will leak. if you have problems, you can always just tee it off, but that will be a lot of work with copper

alright, i went ahead and bought the drip emitter. I went with 2gph. Now i am second guessing it...How much water is too much to change? 2gph will be 48 gallons per day, that does not seem like a lot. tank is 250 gallon

I bought 2 of them i guess i could always tee and then run 2 emitters and then do 100 gallons a day. Would this be too much??

i would say whatever gives you the nitrates level you want to maintain. you could always mix it up. they sell 0.5 and 1 gph emitters also

on my big drips i just use 2 ball valves. dial them down, then measure the amount of water that comes out...

sattle valve would do the same with no need for the drip things u guys r talkin about.
