Although I believe its a G. Brasiliensis, I googled geophagus iporangensis and they look identical to G. Brasiliensis. So who the heck knows. lol.
 
Its identical to my iporangensis, but still too early to be sure. You almost have to wait and see how big it gets before you really know.
 
I.for 1.don't see any resemblance between the 2 geos mentioned. But il wait it out till they get bigger.

I don't think that's it. Comparing the pic from cichlid forum and this. Lets get a few more people to see what it is.

Not a gymno for sure. I still think it could be a iporangensis.

What are you after? You asked for help with an ID, but, you doubt all of the replies you have gotten.

For the record, this is a Geo from the "Brasiliensis" group, they are from all over South America and are for the most part, not well studied fish, so, you will likely never know exactly what it is.
