Need a good small Cichlid...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yeah, I'm gonna have to jump on the band wagon here. I say Blue or Gold Rams.
Or both. They are cool little fish.

The suggestion for Neolamprologus brichardi is a good one, but be warned they are definitely not a passive cichlid. Mine tooled on and eventually killed off every other african in the tank, and the brichardi were added last and were way smaller than the others. They're all alone now, and it looks like it's gonna stay that way.

I would also have to agree, I kept one 10gal with gold rams and another with blue rams. They are very pretty fish, I would not put them with larger Africans in the long run, and if you do then say goodbye b/c they will be food.

I wouldnt keep a labidochromis in a 10gal they max out at around 5 inches and is recomended that they have 20-30gallon tanks depending on how many you have.
