The African one fades its stripes in time. They are sometimes aggressive also. They also grow to 16" or more. Very slow growers.

Distichodus sexfasciatus - VERY VERY slow growers - the Pbass will eat them in a few months.

X2 on this....they get big and mean and ugly. Not for everyone.

They grow VERY VERY fast up to about 12" and slow down. Gets to be about 3 feet, and turns grey green. There is a smaller one, Lusosso that only gets to about 16" and stays colored a lot longer.
