Need a tankmate for my Curu

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have my curu (11) with a slightly larger pleco, irradescent shark, and a larger flowerhorn (12-13). He also has been with bichirs without a problem. He's eaten a few mala I tried to keep with him in the past.

I will say I don't think you should do just one tankmate that he'll possibly perceive as a threat and be aggressive towards

Never kept wolves but I think a bunch of much smaller fish would make an interesting display. Maybe stuff like hatchetfish that live up top

Wouldn't stop them from trying to eat them.

True there. I have heard that if fish are small enough they will be ignored potentially?

Like little otos might get ignored.

The wolf has to be exceptionally large and the tankmates small. A guy here had a 2' aimara with neons and they disappeared slowly in I think a 450. He posted a thread not to long ago about it passing. So I'm not sure where the line is drawn for this to work. Only way I've kept smaller snack size fish with wolves is for them to already be in the tank before the wolf is ever in it.
