ok i have an oppertunity to pick up a 26" silver aro for free, its way to big for his tank. but i have an odd current stocklist. 1 8" oscar, 1 4" burundi frontosa, 1 6" kigoma frontosa, and 2 11" silvers. i figure ill have to move the fronts until they are big enough o go back in. but my question is will the 26" attack the 2 smaller silvers???

oh tank is 6" long 20" tall and 30" wide

hmmm.. i believe thats a 180 gallon? its an odd shape... very tall tank... but a 26" arowana is Really big for 2 11" arowana.. i dunno if they can swollow it whole... but they will be dwarf by it.. u should consider another tank.. cuz... the huge arowana will most likely attack the younger ones...

ya its odd because i built it myself, but 20 inches isnt that tall

oh my bad.. i didnt see the TALL 20" its 30" wide.. but still 180...

I think u can house 1 arowana for him the whole life.. but 3 arowana together is.. tough...

PS.. can i see your tank? i like to see your set up... always curious about home made tanks..

wow.. nice.. so u order the glass to make this tank? that must have been costly...

Also.. curious if u have lid for your tank? they ur arowana dont jump??

seems from the picture your arowanans are still young.. so another yr or so they will grow up to be huge... I'm sure other MFK will give ur opinions too.. but a 26" arowana vs. two 11" is risky... they might get bully...

sweet tank man how thick is the glass you used? also is the top totally covered? doesn't really look like it aren't you afraid of your aros jumping out? lol

i have 2 glass pieces that fit inbetween the braces, there just not on in the pic, also the glass is 3/8" tempered on the sides, the bottom is 1/2" temered, ant top is 1/4" and if i recall it cost me about $700 for the glass and took about 1 1/2 hours to put together

wow... $700 huh... i guess if u have the money and you want to creat your own it would be cool...

Ya.. so far.. i get my tanks from people who dont want it or its cracked and i repair it..

But i like your tank.. very clear... ;)

That's a sweet tank, nice.

I think the big aro will screw with the little ones, if not outright eat them he's big enough to do serious damage to them pretty quickly.
