Just wondering if there's anything i should know? Also who should i go with? Tenecor Aquariums? Or maybe Glass Cages? I'm considering having no holes in the tank. Meaning i'd just run a bunch Canister's ect.. Is this a bad idea? I'm not really into the sump type deal. But i think i may have to because of the water volume? Anything advice thought's would be sweet. Also wondering if i should have the back painted? This is my first time going quite this large. And brand new, Just wanting input from people who have done this. They say hind site is 20/20. Maybe i'll avoid some mistakes. I'm not a rich man so i need it right on the first go around. thanks

Nearly 900 gallons, I'm sure several canisters are needed. looking forward to the setup

For sure, But if it's drilled i'd assume i'd just run a Big Sump.

Well, I have inquired to Tenecor about a tank this size, and the setup is quite costly (for your size, id estimate itd be running near 16-18k for the entire setup). However, id go with Tenecor, they give a discount to MFK'ers, and I've seen many people on here who have happily purchased tanks from them. They also try really hard to be as accurate as possible before they put your order through, so you get exactly what you want.

IMHO, id go with a matching sump provided by Tenecor, or an attacked Wet/dry system if your into that type, yes, they would have to drill the tank, but it would make it very clean looking. Plus, one filter is much easier to clean than 3 or more.

I know if you think about Glass cages You'll have to get a hold of them and get a quote b/c it would be custom. they don't have anything Near this size that's a Standard tank.

Tencor will cost you dearly. but will be good for a long time. Also Something to think about. Have you been in Aquarium Adventure lately? And seen the big glass one they have? It was made by the company that used to own oceanic. And it's glass with steel re enforcement. glass is a little more forgiving but HEAVY. You're looking at A LOT of weight dry on a tank this size. You'd need a small army to move it. Acrylic is lighter but will scratch easy. and has a little better insulating qualities.

I would have it drilled and get a sump for it. but I would just build my own out of a 220 long (7x2x2). Instead if canisters. You would need like 4 FX5s at LEAST on something that large. And you would have you heater(s) in the tank. and that's not a great look.

I would have then do dual corner overflows with 2 1" drains and 2 3/4" returns. that's the same that I had on my big glass tank and it ran fine and I could have had a lot more flow in that tank then I did.

I would also have then add a colored background if not three sides colored. that way your GATF will not think he can swim out b/c it's clear. I don't know if you would want black or another color but I personally would do black.

I would also not go higher then 3' b/c if you did 4' tall your stand would have to be really short and you wouldn't have enough room for your filtration. Unless you have really high ceilings. then 4' tall would be sweet it would be the exact same size as Wu Chugs tank. with his 27"+ GATF. But you also have to think of how the hell would you get it through your doors? You would need a nice double door. and some dollies.

that's my $.02

Your prices are very high. They just quoted my 5-6 K for the tank 10X4X30"... Agin that's just tank and topp's. I have the stand covered. But that's a little small 30'' tall. imo.

I tryed to call you today. I'm going to check AA Saturday, And get some prices. How big were the tank's you seen?

I'm leaning going with the sump like you said. Hell i may just buy a 300 gallon rubber maid. To make the sump?

All i know is i Must have four foot Wide..

go look how neoprodigy did his 600s filtration.... you dont need a sump or wetdry but you will need a few holes... i also would not go glass on a tank that size or use glasscages for someting that big... call tenecor
