ssorry to post a million times but do the math on a fx5. i bet volume vs flow is more turnover than a sump

well 4 fxs = 14 000 lph but its per each tank only taking 1500 lph over a set of media not the whole 15 000 lph for 5 turn overs a sump would take over its media idk what path to go. setup cost is kind of the same. I have 2 spare fx5s with media but a sump sounds nice and I enjoy them much more then canisters the power is about the same sigh the joys of figuring out filtration methods!

see like a 2260 holds 23L of media Thats half of what I planned on putting in the sump! and fx5s process 37ppm of ammo a day which a pair of dovii or umbees would never even produce !

suppose you get 8 eheim 2262, that's 144 liters of material space. Now let's compare that with a 4.5 x 2.5 x 2 sump, that's 607 liters of material space. 300 when half full. I think the sump obviously gives you more choices as well as better flow contact times .

Well I will give the sump a shot most likely, I just hope you guys are right =P

like I got told to use a 6x20x20 sump for 500G why can I get away with a smaller one for more water? they need a book on sumps xD
