Sorry to disappoint you, jars do get it..I've seen quite a lot of them with it. Asians are less prone to DE. But believe as you wish.

I doubt its D.E.

I think it is more likely an injury that occured when you moved him.

It seems unlikley that D.E that bad can form over night. And the fact that it is very rare in jardini lead me to beleive that it was obtained in the move.

Hopefully it can be healed.

It might have hurt itself in the fall...happens. I have a silver that took a bashing and her right eye thrust inside her head in a significantly more pronounciated way than normal..check the pix under "Rescue Aro update "...and this was the result, I believe, of the trauma suffered through the bashing.

Just my 2 cents anyway..

Ok.....what is considered to be a "fatty" diet? Would market shrimp fall into this category? What about leapord frogs? These are big parts of it's diet. (Mostly shrimp) All in all it gets a pretty varied diet. Krill (freeze dried), Carnivore sticks, the earlier mentioned and occasional feeders are what it's been fed the year that I have had it.

Could it's life before my possesion be a contributing factor? I just want to know if it is something I did.....I wouldn't want this to happen again if I did ever choose to keep another aro (which I probobly will not now)

I don't think it would be DE if the eye began to gradually droop I would say I would be inclined to think that way but that was not the case.

I think the eye has been damaged because of the fall and might still heal and, at best, returning to its original position.
