I just had to order a whole new hood and ballast for my 24g JBJ. The damn thing just quit. It will still run the fans, and the night LED's, but wont run the big bulbs. Tried new bulbs still no light. Not sure if it is the hood or the ballast causing the problem so I ordered both. Everyone who ive talked to that has the JBJ have had problems with the hoods and broken hinges and such.
Anyone else ever had this issue? Is it more likely to be the hood itself or the ballast given the symptoms? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
