I have a stocked 55g. I think they may be sick. I had a 10 g with a few platys and some frys. I've had them for a long time. Well recently I found a couple of them dead. Only fish left were the frys, a male platy, a female platy and a dalmation. I assume the platys killed off the others because the Dalmatian looked beat up. Anyway, I put them in the 55g Sunday so I could use the 10g for a quarantine tank for 4 fish that are going in a 75g cichlid tank. I put the dalmation in a bowl and let it float in the 55g and would just add water from the tank. He didnt make it. I came home today and found my elephant nose dead. I know they're sensitive so now I think the platys may have been sick. They look healthy and so do the frys. I took them out. I did a 50% water change Sunday and I'm about to do another one. Is there anything else that I can do? The 55g has a baby whale, blood parrot, 2 angels, small goldfish, 2 gouramis.

Also, I had a albino half beak in the net with the frys and I found it dead tonight.

Hard to say what’s causing it. Would check ur water parameters first. Bad water quality is first to rule out. Can try some salt to the tank, 1 tsp per gallon and seachem paragard.

Watch the tank. Likely what eve it is maybe in the 55g. Best of luck.

That's the first thing that I did, nothing has changed. Should I change my filters too?

Davidiator Davidiator I lost my elephant nose

Wouldn’t change it cause likely bug is in ur gravel and in the water column. If it’s in the filter then it’ll get back in it after cleaning it out.

Should I change my filters
Hello; Seems you will have to try to track down the cause of the recent deaths. Sometimes we can figure things out, other times we have to go back to basics.
While the problem may not be in a filter it may be worth having a look at the guts just to check. I know there is a popular concept of not doing much with filters but I find that sometimes we have to clean them out.
I change out the old mechanical filtration floss/pads and replace with new stuff from time to time. I do not gently rinse in tank water. If it is clogged up I replace it. I get that some are concerned with losing beneficial bacteria (bb) so as long as the filter box and bio-media and mechanical media are not all done at the same time it is usually alright.
At any rate you seem to have a problem beyond ordinary maintainance.

Put your detective cap on and take a good look at all things around the tank. Smell the food. check for insects that may have fallen in the tank. Do a good gravel vac.You may have to do a series of WC with a serious clean of the substrate.
