amphilophus X vieja.. Looks like it recently peeled/faded. My guess would be red devil X fenestratus or something but it could be anything. Looks like a nice fish, where'd you find it?

i can see this being highly possible for this fish.
This fish was found labeled "Flowerhorn" at a lfs. The peeling/fading is very recent. What do you think this fish is worth? I know it's hard to place value on a fish, but I'm curious to know. He/she is VERY aggressive and about 12". What would you pay for it?
i'd pay 25-30 for it. maybe more if it was female and if i could find a extremely large male to tame a 12inch female.
That is all? Why so little? I'm not questioning your opinion, just wondering why this is such a cheap specimen.
cause not all flowerhorn are expensive. color is fairly dull, kinda looks sick due to the in cave stomach look. finage does look fine, non-existent kok showing (but it could pop out, i just dunno at 12inches). overall not a quality show fish for me. nor a great breeder. this is what i see, and this is my opinion since you asked for it.
Thank you. I appreciate your honesty and time. I know not all flowerhorns are expensive, but I just didn't know if his temperment size and condition would increase value, but now I have my answer. The only thing negative I have to say about your comment is I assure you that this fish is NOT sick by any means. It must just be the pictures. His stomach is fine also, he eats like a pig! Haha. What would you call this beast as far as a type?
