The main differences between a Humerosa and a Scobina are: location of catch ( Scobina from Brazil) and skin texture. Humerosas have very rough skin, scobinas have very smooth skin. Otherwise they can look very very similar.

Unfortunately it may not be visible yet in such a imature specimen but the main difference for me between Scobina and Humerosa or Orbignyi for that matter is the absence of multiple randomly positioned thorns running the length of the tail in the latter two,Scobina has a similar tail to that seen in Leopoldi....very broad and thorny!

Heres some pictures of a longterm captive female,i had her in my possession about 8 years ago,i now have her back, shes had a battering from some randy male motoros but shes recovering nicely, she wont be going anywhere once shes back to her former glory.
Checkout the thorny tail, hence its name raspytail river stingray or sometimes Belem ray.

Really? I've got a pair of Potamotrygon scobina that are almost indistinguishable from this. What features do you use to tell the difference?

The eyebrows usually seem to be a good indication that it is most likely an Orb.

I agree, though the body pattern looks like a lot of Humerosa ive seen.
