I would throw some feeders in there to get him eating and put some weight on before trying him on prepared foods.

Thinbars in particular are very prone to gill parasites which does not seem to harm them too much while they are waiting to be brought home but once the gasping starts it is usually too late.The subject has been discussed quite a bit in this subforum so you can find good tips and hopefully save your dat.
 
wow its died.. just died.. my fish didnt touch it my parameters are great the waters on the soft side but nothings wrong the fish was in perfect condition just died on me... no marks on the body nothing... what the hell...

Blows,sorry to see that.Did you notice if it's gills were moving a little fast?
