This is a 120g that i take care of for someone:
6 Discus
10 Glo-fish
4 Clown Loaches
2 Tiger Botias
1 Farowella
It has white sand and i just want to get them a few things that will really get that sand moving a little so i dont get problems with it. I was thinking more loaches of various types, but what do you all suggest???

well do they want anymore fish in the tank? because it is very easy to do what you want by hand rather then adding to the bio-load and having more mouths to feed...

I would suggest pleco, but I don't know how well they fare in sand.

yes they want more fish, like i said its a 120g, the discus are about baseball size, glo-fish are 1.5 in, all loaches and botias are between 2-4 inches and farowella about 5 in. they dont care for plecos but i told them they may have to get a fancy one or two.

i don't know if these would work, nor if they will be ok with the other guys, so don't blast me!! But would freshwater gobies work? I know they filter the sand through their gills and they are active lil dudes so would be an interesting addition. Just a suggestion.

I believe Angel is talking about Goby Eel I have one in a FW tank and it is doing good, it is really blue now and growing...

Oh, how about some geophagus or satanoperca. Especially jurupari. They spend all day eating sand/gravel, then spitting it out. Or some dojo or kuhli loaches. They do the same thing, and dig around.

Horseface loaches will sift sand through their gills. I don't know how they'll get along with clown loaches, I'd assume they'll do ok. They'll also bury themselves in the sand and keep it stirred up.

Kuhlis might get snacked on in that tank, bigger fish like discus might mistake them for worms.

Dojo loaches are technically coolwater fish, though yes, they will bury themselves in the sand. Horseface loaches are a better choice here since they're warmwater fish though.

thats what i was thinking also, Horseface loaches.
