That fish's mother is a blood parrot, so pure genetics are way in the past. Sweet looking fish though. Are all the pics the same one growing up, or all different fish?

Yes Great Fish..I would also like to know if it's the same one growing...I have one that looks like the 2nd from last pic and sometimes shows more red than other times...

What are you feeding?

How big is it? I know that they peel (like FH) and that usually is when the red starts showing... if it is going to show.
 
Probably close to 6.5 in. and thick....looking red right now, I am charging my digi's batteries and will post pics later!

:welcome: Last time I went to Thailand to visit family, I saw these guys and I wanted one so bad! Too bad I didn't have time to find out how to bring it back to the states. They were going for $7 US at the time. And when I came back, I started hearing about Red Texas over here in the states about a year later going for $300.
