There is actually an extreme difference in between the different aquariums they have been growing in, a friend got 2 of them at a early age and they look like this now
( Remember this is from the same shipment and they were randomly selected from the group of 20 Kelberis when they were about 2"! He lives about 50 miles away from me)

Could the difference be because we have different waterparameters?

Hmm, I wonder what the differences in diet, temperature, and exposure to natural sunlight are for both sets? The difference seems to be in the amount of black pigment in the fish -- the patterns are there for both sets.
 
They kels are stunner, maybe different layout of tanks your look dark and friend look light. Even your Azul are nice and dark Maybe it the water are you or your friend on well water?

I own these two kelbs and they are starting to get the same pattern as the ones you have left Charlie :)
