He was sold to me as a Paratheraps Zonatus from a very reputable seller. He has the attitude of a Zonatus, he doesn't back down from any of the other cichlids I have in the tank with him. I've gone back and forth on that issue also simply because he has quite a bit of red in him.

I would say Hartwegi as well. Every true zonatus that I have seen has a more defined black lateral strip and more green/blue and pretty much no red like that other the fin highlights..
That however is a great looking fish and I wouldn't be the least bit disappointed in it. I remember Ken having those guys listed. It was pretty darn cheap for it's size. Very nice fish either way.

If I had to guess I'd say it's a cross beetween a Bifaciatus and a Hartwegi. Definately not a Zonatus.
