Need expert's advice. WTH is this?

All of my motoro pups were born with them, and the wc ones have them as well. No idea what they are, but I think they are harmless. They come and go like you noticed.

I haven't had any of my rays have theses. I have kept WC and CB. Looks to be normal, I wouldn't be too worried since it is still eating well. I would probably keep an eye on it and adding some salt wouldn't hurt either.

there was a thread about bumps like this about a year ago... were said to be nothing of concern...

agreed with all the above. noticed with a couple of my MMs as well. so far no harm done to the ray

Maybe it is viral related. Not necessarily something harmful but somewhere along the lines of a Herpes virus. Almost like cold sores. I remember something being posted about Koi having something like that. Perhaps it is similar.

Yeah, I remember that too, but have no idea what to "search" to find it! The bumps are no concern.

I dug up one "bump" thread by using "view other threads" in the O.P.'s profile.

I just remember Carlos's rays having them but everyone saying they were harmless and not cause for concern.
