Forced air furnace, hot water baseboard, what is normal big heater in the laundry room?

You should add a zone in the fish room then. It will have its own thermostat and everything.

Switch to a natural gas heater like this. I know a few people running them in their garages(Chicago area) and it costs $10-20 a month to keep 2-3 car garages in the 60s.

I have a gas heater in my room, and I could turn it into a sauna if I wanted. This is a corner room with 4 windows and literally no insulation (120+ year old house), so that's saying something in midwinter. It's cheap to run, too. I think it's usually about $40 to heat the entire room all winter? Probably your best option.
