I have a tank with 6 cons, 6 fh and one pleco the amonia is at zero. The PH is at 7.0 ive had three fish die there are no wounds on them so i dont think its because of fighting. One was the largest and one was the smallest. They have their lips out like they are kissing. If someone knows what i should do or what it is. Let me know.
Thanks.

Tank size? Nitrites? Nitrates? Test kit? Tank maintenance schedule? Size of fish? What fish died? Evidently, all those fish you have are horribly belligerent and should never have been mixed in the first place. Liplocking is part of their territorial disputes. It is not impossible that fighting is the cause. Fighting also causes severe stress if they continue harassing each other.

you got to many convicts in your tank i started with 10 and of them and i ended up with 4 of them from them killing each other.

nitrate zero 480 gallons 25% water change every 2 weeks. the largest fish that died was 5 or 6 inches the smallest was 3. 2 cons and 1 fh. its not due to fighting. The fish act retarded before they died.

What are the dimensions of your tank?

Nitrate is zero? Are you using a denitrator or do you have plants in there (which is impossible given the stocklist)? What is your nitrites? How often do you feed? Your water change schedule will need to change depending on your feeding schedule.

Please describe how exactly they were "retarded".

i feed them once a day usually sometimes once every three days. Ammonia NH3/NH4 test kit says its at zero. The tank has been up with no problems since september. No new fish added. no plants.

I already got your message there however you did not specify your nitrites. Zero nitrates is impossible without plants plus a fortnight water change. What test kit are you using?
