Velvet and flukes are possible. Do you have photos of your fish?

NH3/NH4 stands for bad nitrates if my understanding is correct. although im new to aquariums you need positive nitrates in which case a 25% water change in a 480 gl aquarium shouldnt hurt the good nitrates are you sure it dosent sound like its virual

nothing new other then water change i use well water could that have anything to do with it? i know with spring run off can change things but the temp is at - 40 out right now so i doubt if anything is going to thaw anytime soon. Im having trouble uploading pictures right now. The fish look normal but the lips are stuck out. Should i add salt?

Not exactly. Can you please explain further your first sentence? Just because you have zero ammonia, it doesn't mean your nitrates are at safe levels. Furthermore, how will you know your nitrates exceeded the safety range if you do not have a kit for one nor will you tell us what exactly it is? What do you mean by "positive" nitrates? Specify please.
