My arowana is swimming vertically and he looks all beat up. My water parameters are perfect, and the blood parrots i have as tank mates for it doesn't attack him. I'm guessing he was spooked and tried to take flight lessons, but slammed himself up against the lid. Its currently in a 60 gallon and he is no longer than 7 inches. What should i do? Right now his fins are all ripped, and he does not swim normally.

add salt(1 tablespoon per 10 gallons) up the heat to 84 degrees. If there are any open wounds you can also treat with melafix. Also double up on your water changes, make sure you add the salt dose to the new water you adding during w/cs.

Verticle swimmers rarely make it :( Good luck!!!

No. I was just stating from experience... :( It sucks you see me that way. :(

Anyway. Why would you lower yourself to such levels on my account :(

I believe you took my statement out of context ;)

Please reread. And look a little deeper. Drama is not what is needed in his thread. And being how you haven't offered any real help or encouragement only an issue causing post or two... Please refrain and add to the info content of the thread.
