NEED HELP, AROWANA SERIOUSLY HURT

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont think its fins would be ripped bumping on the lid..my silver tried to jump out and bumped on the lid, broke its back but didnt rip any of its fins swam in a reverse L position..the parrots might be nipping on the injured aro..

I think it was a few hours ago i have my water level pretty low, I think it got spooked when the garage door opened and closed, dosen't look like it will make it

Is it isolated now?

I would add something to the tank to seperate it fromt he others.. To stop any overnight aggression.

Be patient. I wouldn't say don't ever get another... Maybe just place the tank in a less stressful area.

The garage with the garage door that opens.. Even if it is consistent.. is probably not soemthing they will get used to.

THIS CASE USUALLY QUITE HARD TO HELP ALREADY.... BUT U MAY TRY TO PUT IN SOME POWER HEAD TO CIRCLE THE WATER..... I THINK THAT MIGHT HELP...

My sliver arowana is dead measured at 9' bought at 5' sucks going to wait till i get my emporer 400 in the mail than buy another sliver right now i am running a pingun 175, 125 and did 25% water changes twice a week
Should I raise my water level?

That sucks that it died but when they are in a large tank they are less jumpy, I moved my silver from a 75 to a 155 bow he's hanging with the 26" knife and 30" Redtail cat right now and he's happy as a clam takes food from my hand now which he never did in the 75. I've been waiting for my 250gal to arrive for the redtail and knife so I can put the Tiger shovel nose and Peacock in with the silver.

Give the Silver another try but give him his own tank to start and try to socialize him more have a timer to put a tv on and off so he's less jumpy and is use to things that might normally startle him other wise.
