as long as you cleaned your filter with filter water i don't see why not. keep those rings, i don't think prazipro affects biofiltration

Also it says one teaspoon per every 20gallons
But it doesn't say if every 24hrs or days???????
And do the same rules apply if it's used on a scaleless fish like the puffer???

I just put the amount my tank needed but inside the filter box then turned on my filter and all this white cloudy stuff comes out guess it was the medicine

May I ask how much you cleaned the filter and how big was the water change? I wouldn't recommend doing both at the same time...

I hope your puffer recovers! If it's not carbon, don't remove it from your filter. Carbon is black and usually in bags which is used to remove meds/chemicals from the water. So you may need carbon, if you choose to, after the treatment.

the white cloudy stuff is the prazipro it'll mix in with your water. just make sure you follow the instructions on the bottle, i've been told that prazipro is one of the lower risk medications for fish. i don't know what kind of worm you're using it on but i've used prazipro on many occasions to fix gillfluke for my discus and it works great
