I find a bit odd your vet´s response, after all once a female reptile past the time in wich she is behavioraly receptive to laying she can hold on to her eggs, and even if the eggs are properly shapped if their not layed they will die and literaly rot inside of her, causing the female death. In a odd circunstanse female lizards reabsorve their eggs but in that case thouse are unfertilized eggs. If however everything is fine regarding the eggs I sugest this: put her in the home cage and put the male apart in a temporary cage so she can have all the tranquility in the world to lay her eggs, provide high quality very calcium rich foods, provide the laying box and make shure your using a recent uv lamp. Also pay alot of atencion to any letargy or signs of unconfort your lizard may show, as that means they are going down hill. It would be also good to get a second opinion, here is the web page of one the best exotic vets you can find in the US, may far away from you but you can send email http://www.exoticpetvet.net/PatrickTheArowana;4011178; said:I took her to the vet. Spent $80 just find out that she did not have egg binding or anything that was life threating. She was however in the early stages of holding on to her eggs too long. But the vet said she was just spooked for some reason and was not laying like she's suppose to. Vet said keep an eye on her and that she thinks my beardie will be fine though.
