Need help breed TX x mammom

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's possible that they'll eat the fries. In that case you'll have to be very observant. Sometimes it may seem like the mom is eating the fries but she could just be moving the fries to a different spot in the tank.

Give them their space. This is their first clutch of eggs. There is typically a higher chance that young fish may eat their first batch. But I've found a lot of times it is due to over excited owners constantly checking and hovering near their tanks. The fish don't know how to deal with you as a threat to their young, so they eat them. Observe from a distance, only approach for feeding, or even cover part of the tank so they feel secure, and give them a chance to do what comes naturally.
