Hi,

I'm having a hard time choosing a SN.

I will explain what i want and what i have as an Aquarium and maybe someone can help me choose.

_________________________________

1. I have a 25 Gallons Tank(With an aquaclear 70) with plant(plastic) and some big rocks. Also have a bublemaker (dont know if the SN like that or not). I'm looking to upgrade to an 50-105 Gallons tank really soon.

2. I would prefer to get a pair of Channa but from what i can read it's hard to get them.

3. I want a Channa that is really nice in color and that would come to about 14-15 inches at max.

If you guy have any other question that would help you give me an answer ask away plz.

PS: Someone from a pet shop told me that the Red Snakehead will only grow as big as the tank he's in, kinda like an alligator is that true ?

I dont know much about snakeheads since they are illegal here, but I do know that the red snakehead is extremely large and the idea that it will only grow as big as its tank is a myth, it will stunt its growth and then die. Given the proper tank size and conditions fish can and will reach their maximum size potential

A friend had about 6 of them in a 75 gallon tank and they seemed very colorful for SH and they also act as a community.
Very attentive and busy always clammering to the glass to get earth worms or silversides.
Unfortunately we cannot have them here in the US, But in Brazil you can have whatever you can buy/catch without issue.
Good Luck.

I called a few Fish stores and one store has some Rainbow SH for sale at 29.99 +tax(CND). I was just wondering is this would be a good choice ?

They are about 2-3 inches long and they have a little group of them.

I was wondering when would they try to get into a "couple/pair", anyone know how old they need to be ? Thx
