Hey, I was admiring my ray today and noticed lighter spots on her and when I look real close they kinda have like a flower pattern to them. I know it's hard to see but I tried my best to get a good photo. I've heard about raising the temps to about 85-86 and adding salt but I have no clue what kind of salt or how much. Please help me out.

aquarium salt or kosher salt. 2 tablespoopns per 10 gallons or more slowly
Thanks I'm gonna go get me some salt today when my LFS opens. I'm hoping I can fix her. I don't wanna have my first ray die. That just sucks!
Thanks a lot Big Daves Rays.

I don't think you have much to worry about. Follow the advice given by Mike, bump up the temp and keep up on your water changes. Don't stress unless it stops eating.

add to replace with water changes.... and kosher salt non iodized is cheaper and you get alot more for your money

took me a few days of starving to get mine on massivore.... fatten her up for a good week.... then only offer massivore for a few days.....

im sure you probably did, but i hope you dissolved the salt in a seperate container and added it. if you drop crystals to the bottom of the tank it can burn them
