ooh, thats ok, my freind had a ray, and it was due to the intensity of the light that it was stressed, also, what is the pH? maybe bring the hours its on for down to 8 temp?

The temp is 86, my ammonia 0 ppm, nitrite .25 ppm, nitrate 10 ppm and my ph 7.8. I also have two table spoons of salt for every 10 gallons as of 24 hours ago. For filtration I have an aquaclear 110 with the sponge filter, 2 10oz. bags of chemi-pure and a BioMax insert as well as a 301 powerhead with the filter attachment. I'm a little under filtered but I don't want to go and buy another filter because she's only going to be in there for a month at the most. I'm in the process of builing a 270g(6'x3'x2' tall).
Why not buy an FX5 now to use on this tank and then transfer over to your other tank when it's done? You can never overfilter a ray tank.

I've heard a lot of people knock the FX5 but thank you for the kind words. I understand the more filtration the better but when my 270g is built I will have a sump running.
kill the lights for a couple days.. add another filter even if its 2 big sponge filters on full blast... that will help with dissolved 02 wich is needed at the higher temps....
