u can leave them alone with the parents no?

YES.. JD are good Parents. Eventually the need to move them is coming.. right now they should be fine..

However if you wanted to move the babies.. And leave the parents all you need to do is pull the decor so the fry have nowhere to hide and syphon them into the 29..

Best not to move the parents to the 29. If the male gets frisky to try for somemore your female will surely get dusted with that little of space to try and hide in a 29 NOT a good idea :(

Thanks for all your help. I have decided to leave them until the weekend and see how it's going. that way i will have time to ge the 29 ready. I think i will just move about 40 of them or so and see how the parents take care of the rest. i will put the 40 in the 29 and go from there :)

If you net them out they might eat the ones left with them. I would put a pre-filter on the intake, add a sponge filter w/air pump in there and then set up the 29 with the sponge filter after you syphon some little guys out. Remember, you need to leave the sponge filter in there about a week so that it can handle the bio-load in the new tank. Good luck.
