My temensis growout are breathing hard temp is 86 degrees 4 airstones hang on the back filter..recently treated for ich..four out of five are eating n healthy but one avoids everything n stays breathing extremely hard..others are breathing hard but eating..any advice?

First thought was not enough air. Not too sure what temps those fish can withstand safely. I know you are trying to treat for ich, did you put salt in the tank also? Measured it out and everything? Until you know, I would drop the temp 2-4 degrees and see if there is any change, if you measured out the salt. Or did you use a chemical treatment?

Try doing a water change if you have not done so. I think you temp is OK, I've had it up to nearly 90 F for chicla when treating ich and have been successful.

The breathing hard could be from the ich on the gills. It may not stop until the ich has run it's full life cycle and burst from the capsules stuck on gill tissue.

I always use salt when doing water changes..so i kno its not the salt..i add quickcure for ich but i only use 20 drops..ich is 95% cured..i been doing 40% wc on a daily basis

I did a wc today..40% wc the past 3 days..they are lookin fat n healyth been eating food sticks n shrimp..but just that one temensis isnt eating..

I would have to say the ich has not completly run it's coarse like s2 convnt eluded to treat with more salt instead of another ick treatment ...The water changes and high temps will eventually kill the cycle of ick....

I would just do as stated...continue to treat for ich and keep doing what your doing. And maybe keep the lights off.

water can become toxic after treating for ich, but your doing water changes after every dose so its either its on the gills like stated or it's stress.
