Need Help ID new Rhom???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
if you don't know the collection point then you will never know what kind it is ie. peru, xingu, vinny, etc. other wise as stated its all about what you want to call it id say that it is a bdr black diamond rhom if it looks bluish in person call i a blue diamond. either way you got a redic deal on it. in a lfs it would be about $125-150.

you should NOT feed it beef heart or feeders. krill is fine also white meat fish is good such as talapia, cat fish, smelt, cod, etc. also raw shrimp is good.

Thanks my friend did find out it was caught in Peru. I gonna stick to krill and and the other fish u mentioned above. I also was told to feed it once in awhile live fish but to use Convicts feed them flakes and good pellets then feed to Rhom. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks again

Convicts are good, but might a hard for them to catch as convicts are pretty fast. it'll be fun watching it trying to catch them. make sure you don't have too much hiding spots for the convicts. other good feeder would be mollies, they breed fast and can grow to decent size if fed well (I had one huge one before) and they are easy to catch.

lately I have been feeding my p's only shrimp(cooked or raw) and krill, but mostly krill because it doesn't pollute the water as much. You gotta be careful with shrimp because most of the time they shred it and leave parts in the water, sometimes those leftover shrimp pieces get stuck under a rock or the sand gravel and within days they can really start to bring some nasty bacteria into the water.

you should only be feeding raw, uncooked shrimp... cooking shrimp removes a lot of the nutritional value

I hear ya, what I try to do is cook it just enough so it doesnt "slime the water" if ya know what Im saying... I don't fully cook it.
