, i cant post a pic of my sh but it looks just like yours, if the ones in the store grew that fast i gess iam to have to do more WCs or feed him more squid....That is better, it looks like a Parachanna obscura to me, the insignis and africanus both have a greater # of dark markings on the flank. Here is a pic by Teigler of a fairly young one by Teigler, and one of a young adult from Snakeheads.org. They max out at around 20".
The Channa lucius looks very different at 3" long, here are 3 photos, one a juvie, two adults, all by Johnny Jensen. in the adults look at the eyes.
hello!i would say its a juvenile channa bankanensis.i have same in my tank and they look nearly similar to this one on your pic.obscura is different in colour and form,and lucia has different head and of course different markings.i would say 99% its a channa bankanesis.
