need help identifying eel

I'm not exactly sure how to help you with your tank dilemma as I have no experience with eels but this one is gorgeous! Definitely a beautiful find and worth keeping if it would require another tank.

Its monopterus albus. The species can tolerate brackish water where it is sometimes found, but should be kept in full fresh throughout its life.

i'm just curious is this eel meant to be freshwater or saltwater? coz it seems there are cichlids in there as tank mates?
 
thanks everyone she is housed in my 5 ft freshwater setup with my malawi's,currently feeding on killifish and prawns,i have had her for approx a year or so now she came along with the tank.
