Texas in breeding colors, and the firemouth looks like a multispinosum (rainbow cichlid) hybrid/FM to me.

Here is a female Herichtys carpintus in breeding color, close cousin to a Texas

and now a couple shots of multispinossa
1st a young one

a little older

Well y’all were right. Eggs cover the back side of a rock and they are protecting them well, though I am not sure they are viable. Color doesn’t look right to me.
