Need help id'ing a cichlid.

I just went to my lfs to pick up snails and while I was there a cichlid caught my eye. I immediately asked if it was a neet. I thought it looked a lot like mine only much lighter. They told me they didn't know what it was, just knew that he was a complete jerk and they couldn't keep anything with it. Someone had brought it in because he had pretty much destroyed their tank. The guys at the shop said they had to get rid of it so they were more than happy to give it to me.

Here it is in the lfs tank (picture taken with phone).

Here it is in my tank after acclimation. He was immediately bullying around the other fish in the tank including the red devil and the vieja's. Once he gets a little bigger he is going to be a complete terror.

Anyway, can anyone id this little guy?

I wish I would have gotten lucky and picked up another neet but this guy still looks like he should do alright in the tank. If for some reason he doesn't look like he is going to fit in I will move him over to the hospital tank until I can find a new home.
 
I am very happy to say that the little guy (or gal) was eating within an hour of being in the tank. He ignored the pellets but went for the flakes. Hopefully he will start eating pellets pretty soon. I don't feed flakes all that often. The little guy does need to gain some weight.
 
Nice pick up! I have a soft spot for Nics. They get soo awesome looking when they get older too.

Do agree with you on the fish condition, it seems to be starved, the previous owner or owners probably didn't feed it well.

Thanks, I need to update it. Here's the one I've got now. I miss the 600 though. :(

:WHOA: That is the 1400 correct? Absolute bullet. I have never owned a Kaw before but a few of my friends have. Seem like a very well built bike!
 
Yep, it's the 1400 and it is a beast!
