i have a 180 gallon with alot of rockwork-what i do is take a powerhead, start on the left side and hold it in my hand and let the current blow the poop out of the rock. youll be amazed at the amount of poop in there. i syphon the poop up, and then take the powerhead on the right and do the same thing...
