  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah, look at the silicon, look at the bracing. Bring a flashlight, you may be able to see some more scratches that way.

Ask as many questions as you can, when was the last time it held water, how long was it set up for, anything that comes to mind.

$75 is a HELL of a deal for a 150 with stand and hood. If you dont buy it someone else will very soon

deff buy it

even if it doesn't hold water, resealing a 150 gallon tank is a cake walk. and you just can't buy a 150 gallon tanks for $75 every day.. there is a guy on MFK right now asking $400 for his..

the tank had alot of scratches inside, the silicone on the one side would need replacing(so total reseal) the one overflow panel was missing.....the canopy/hood was only a cap that fit 1/2 way to the rear of tank which would need to be lifted off to access unless u fed from rear which wouldnt work for me.....the stand would need to be totally refinished....the bulkhead plugs were not there like they said(only 1)....it had aqua colored paint on the back and 1/4 of one side....for me it was just too much work just to get it to be acceptable empty.

if anyone wants the challenge it is in bay city mi

I recently sold my 150/stand/glass lids/canopy (not drilled) for $350.

$75 for a 150 drilled with stand was way too good to be true if the glass was in great shape. At that price, I would expect it to need some work.

yeah they said a couple scratches, i could deal witb a couple but when i asked about it the girl said she used quarry grave and some must have gotten on her magnetic scrubber thing so....well imagine the buffing....i mean it wasnt insane but i am picky....my fish deserve the best

lots of scratches are invisible with water in the tank.. and seriously, resealing is not as hard as it seems, the ambient temp may be an issue in MI though.. lol. really a shame you turned it down.

That sucks....a drilled 150 is a pretty beastly tank!

it didnt seem like a 150....i believe it was smaller....i didnt bring a tape measure though but by judging size by my eye ( carpenter for many years...good eye) i am guessing more like a 90gal......it was my guess 60x18x18

for me there were too many issues for someone else with experience resealing it may have been a better deal, my garage is not heated and it would just take me too long to do and too much hassle and no patien e to learn in cold weather.
