got a FHxBP from air cargo. fish is floating upside down and barely breathing at all. water temp was at 50f, now at 54f. how fast can i raise the temp. theres still hope. please give me some advise.

raise the temp fast dude, he will do better with a little temp shock than 50* water. Bring it to 60, then 65, then 70, then 75 over about an hour.
yea, he's just cold.when i have that happen i just float it in a tropical tank, the water should get warm about as fast as he can hand
thanks guys, hes up to temp and breathing well but still floating upsidedown but it looks like he'll make it!
Squeeze some canned peas into his tank. Offer him nothing else for a week. It will (hopefully) cure his swim-bladder problem. He could just be disoriented, but the peas will do no harm at all. Did you buy him from a vendor or not related to MFK? You can PM me if you do not want to put them on blast, or not tell me at all. Just curious on that one. Best of luck.
By now he should be in 75-80F water if you've had him for over 3 hours. If it isnt temperature related and she is still floating upside down, follow the pea method and do not feed anything for akt least a few days.
all is good folks! he stayed completely upside down till 6am and at 615 was swimming fine. thanks for all your help!
