  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have 2 ac 110 and a Magnum 350 Deluxe on my 90 with no problems
to save money go to petsmart they will price match online prices good luck

AC110 and a Canister. no need for extra water movement...and Pristine water.

"super cartridge" for the Emperor I found one and bought it.

I have one question about it though if somebody can help me. In the middle of the cartridge their are 2 Black filter pads, where do I buy them in order to replace them when they go bad? Or should I just always rines these in take water and they will last a few years?

Just rince them off...you can also use pad material available at most LFS's to cut your own if you like. It's usually about 5.00 for enough o make a dozen or more but I just wash off the old ones. Some of the ones I have running are over a year old. It IS nice however to have an extra set so you can switch them out FAST and then wash the used pads later on or even just run them through the dishwasher (no soap by the way...use baking soda.)

I have a 90 gallon aquarium, before all I had was a fluval 405 and my water was fairly clean but not ideal, so i went and got a pro clear 300 wet/dry, u won't need one that big but my water has been crystal clear ever since I bought that and a 18 watt turbo twist uv sterilizer. I got this much so eventually I could put this on a bigger tank when I get one

By the way the pads your talking about are for mechanical filtration only so theres no need to worry about washing them in used tank water. The BB (benificial bacteria)populate the other areas of the supercartrage.

So then it don't matter if I wash them under HOT tap water then? So these filters will last a lot longer then the normal Emperor filter you buy? What you thik they last before having to replace them about a year or so?

yes they should last a year or more and are far less expencive to replace. Hpt water is just fine. Between the outside of the supercartrages and the bio-wheels you have more than enough BB.
