Need help on lighting options

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the hijack guys. LOL.

Hayn knowing what you know about the colormax bulbs what do you think would be a good quantity for my tank in original post. I am willing to try anything.

I think home deport has 4' long shop light that uses t8 bulbs. So, Two 4' long shop lights, t8 2x coralife colormax and t8 2 x 10,000k bulbs is what I would do if I had your tank.

Thanks for the info. I will let you know how it turns out. Pharoah thanks for the info on those leds. That may still come in handy.

Off to Home Depot I go.

I actually just bought some t8 "daylight" from homedepot this morn. I love it. Very natural imo. Best part about it?? $9 for 2 bulbs lol. wayy better than a LFS selling em for $20+ for 1 bulb.

Picked up a single 4' double bulb shop light and threw in the bulbs you suggested. Just need to put a canopy together to get the light contained to the tank and I think we have a winner. Thank you for the help. Sorry lousy picture off the cellphone. And don't mind the pot or driftwood still working on a little decorating.:)
