I never did? It wasn't "imput" it was a question.... In the amazon river it roughly gets about only 80F not including humidity.so why would you put a pbass in 90F tank when it is found in 80F? What's the need for the high temprature?

If you would have read the posts on this thread, you might see that higher temps causes the eggs to hatch quicker. And where did you read that the average temp of the amazon is 80? And in shallow waters? Where bass are seen breeding in SHALLOW WATERS.

I bet when they spawn in the shallows its like laying eggs under a magnifying glass!

My bass are most active around 85-87 degrees and mines tend to eat more at that temp. I used to keep mines close to 90 degrees. IMO its just to hot for them to do anything. I believe they breed towards the shallow because of abundance of food for the frys when they hatch.

No rules... esp. when you breed beasts in a tiny little shoebox....nothing natural or native...its all good!
I agree with you on this one. What ever works.

I have no idea of what the temps are at shallow waters in the amazon or what ever the cichla are collected form.

Breeder Man Chang!! 3...4 Wholesalers looking for 3 to 4" Monos!
I might scoop up a couple form you after I finish moving.

Agreed with the food in shallow water for the fry. And yes, my basses are more active at higher tems. And tends to eat more a higher temps.

Poor guy....

If you fail at reading the post, that I have posted, then you are not helping out one bit. Get offended all you want, I can careless of your input on this matter. You seem that you already bred cichla before, in fact, I know people that bred cichla. Like I said, please read the thread slowly and sound out the words and let them compute in your head and then comment. I also ask where did you get your information from....or was I typing to fast for you?

And people like me? I stick to what I know and have experience with, and that is cichla. Look in the cichla section more often home girl. I help a lot of cichla keepers out. From getting cichla, to selling them. I can also careless if you post here or not.

Never said I did? Show me where I said I bred cichla? Got my info from a quick google search, nor did I say the water temperature I was talking about the over all temperature in the area. Arrogance runs deep. I'm glad you don't run or even come close to running mfk the amount of people you would drive off this site would be masses. Seems you don't know the difference between a question and input.
