No, that was clear enough - but perhaps you should reread what I just posted from the manufacturer of acrylic tanks, that seemed pretty clear to me as well. If you asked that acrylic tank manufacturer, their answer to your question would be no, and they gave a detailed answer as to why. Did you not read that?

Nope I didn't and I won't. Don't know who the manufacturer of a cheap used tank from Craigslist is and I'm quite sure it's out of warranty AND I have no proof of purchase which you need when trying to have a company honor their warranty. I do appreciate your attempt to help though.

WTF are you talking about? LOL I even quoted the info from the link to simplify things, and you can't even expand that to read it? It has nothing to do with warranty of your tank, but has everything to do with what an actual manufacturer of acrylic tanks recommends, with regards to your specific question.
