I can't get the link to work but if you go to YouTube and search for how to cut gill curl it is the called jardini arowana gill curl operation

There are several good vids, all on aros though. It's good stuff. Only one used anesthesia it appears - the one Jared T pointed out with jardini. It'd be nice to know if the gill flaps grew back and if they grew back straight. For many vids it's been years and the OPs didn't come back to say yes or no. Perhaps, they simply never intended to.

Gill curl is from bad water quality. At least this is the most well recognized theory. I would also like to hear what people say about this. I hear mixed stories about if the gill cover grows back. I had a Paroon that damaged his gill cover and it never healed.

Jar2323, if you will, please keep us posted of the results of your search for answers if you find anything new.

For one, one could ask the authors of those Youtube vids if the gills grew back and if they grew back straight. But one must be a member of Youtube, I suspect. It'd be nice to find catfish vids, not aros.
