Need help sexing this GT

cool thanks! i guess he is not as vibrant. is that due to him not being the dominant fish in the tank?

what brand or kind of lights do you recommend?

i used normal T8 florescent tubes. i think he looks washed out due to lack of background and the light gravel. a darker gravel ahould sort him out a bit and add something to lessen the background light. some paint the back, some add a painted card/wood board but if you think thats too boring or normal i am using reptile hanging silk plants. these are the ones http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Exo-Terra-Jun...temQQimsxZ20081014?IMSfp=TL081014111003r30784
they make a more interesting background IMO.
