I would put some slates in a flat angle on the back and on one or both sides of the tank, so it provides some elongated caves with two openings. Also I would add some wood till the surface and some plants with big leaves. There should be more structure than open water.
In my Cyphotilapia gibberosa "kapampa" tank I have two flat limestone/sandstone slabs stood on end near the ends of the tank. One is 18 or 19 inches tall (by about 14 inches), the other a little smaller. The serve twin purposes-- as caves as well as hides for filter tubes, etc.
