I am biased, but maybe a red and a gold would look really nice.
Be careful with dither tetras as I seem to be striking out a bit, hence my sev's name in my sig

wow great sugestions but after pondering on this for a while, i think im going to go with low light planted tank and do several types of small schooling fish.
