Need Help: Thousand Island Stingray Not Active and Not Eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry for the massive derail

Most of my tanks I have built or got em built as per my design, as I run sumps on top of tanks, like a massive hob, and this allows me to also add a few plants and add the goodness of aquaponics.

Damn I wish overhead sumps were a popular thing stateside. They keep things so clean looking haha.

Here's an update on my stingray.

Very nice but your work isn't over yet. Notice the bowl in it's head, you should work on correcting whatever is causing it the stress it's experiencing causing that. From my experience it's usually water related but it could also be insufficient diet or aggressors. Good luck!

I agree there could be a water related problem but like I said the filter is going and will be replaced by a sump. That should take care of it.

Maybe keep the filter and also add the sump (if possible). Bigger is alts better for these guys. I have 3 filters on mine and I’m either going to add another or a wet dry trickle to add more bio to the tank. And my rays are still tiny lol.
