not exactly sure what a BA set up is but if you want to keep plants you're going to need some pretty tough ones. I suggest anubias, java ferns, stuff like that, tough plants that will eventually grow moderately large under medium light

idk if they're poisonous, that's the first time i've heard someone say that :P whatever the case, I HIGHLY DOUBT he will try to eat the leaves; he is a micropeltes after all :)

try to google it..java ferns are poisonous for the fish. hmmm argh i dont have any idea about BA set up that's why i need more information from you guys..hehe ahm i think imma get a 50g glass tank then ill transfer my micro on that tank..

HI,

I have Javafern in ALL my 15 tanks, I use it since I have aquaria, thats about 15 years and I never ever had a single problem with javafern.
Channa dont eat plants, some species use them for theyr nesting on the surface, but that wont harm.

Cheers

Any pic's of the big 300g? I take it he's in a smaller holding tank in that picture? micro's get huge, I find with snakeheads floating plants cuts down there "ugre" to jump So I’d put lot's of floating plants, I use duckweed, and leave it very thick, keep the light levels nice and DIM,

As for over all tank setup you should keep in mind this will very quickly become a big eating machine, and a messy one at that, you'll need extra filtration, and the more "stuff" the tank the more cleaning you'll need to do... which can be a bit challenging when you consider your hands will soon be “bite sized” I have had 6” snakeheads go after my hand’s and fingers while cleaning, I wouldn’t want a monster mico to have any chance!

its a 300g tank..imma post the whole picture of the tank im planning to transfer my c.micro on a 50g tank and if he's too big enough on a 50g tank imma transfer him again on my 300g water tank..yeah your right guys my tank is empty just my channa inside on it..i want to make a BA set up on my tank so gimme some suggestions on what aquatic plants i will use to make a BA tank..ahm my idea is except for java ferns is it ok that i will use medium sized gravel and a mangroove sprout on the center of the tank and some of java ferns beside on the mangroove?and gimme some examples of floating plants except for water lillies?btw my c.micro had a name..he's name was ISKO..hehe lol..he is already 2-3 months old channa micropeltes i think?his size was 9-10" is he too small for a 2-3 months old c.micro??he's a choosy monster. he dont want to eat worms..or chopped meat..he likes live feeders..like jap koi's and btw guys gimme some examples of feeder fish coz on our lfs jap koi's are the cheapest feeder fish and i cant aford it..50c/ea. jap koi and its too much expensive for me im only a civil engineering student my allowance is $50/week equivalent to 500 pesos in philippines and my micro eats 16pcs jap koi's per week imagine how much he consumes every week..??gimme some small fish that are good for breeding then ill make them as feeders on my pretty monster
